"At first glance, this chair appears to be a dazzling display, but upon closer inspection, it brings a sense of joy and tranquility. The ancients were adept at using precious materials, intricate carving techniques, and ornate designs to highlight the essence of objects. Different artistic skills complement and harmonize with each other, creating a beautiful and captivating interaction that showcases the confidence of contemporary art derived from traditional culture.“

This piece faithfully recreates the gold outline painted Wanfu (Ten Thousand Blessings) pattern armchair from the Qing Dynasty imperial collection. The backrest and armrests are meticulously crafted with intricate motifs, and the central part of the backrest features a gold outline painted swastika pattern, while the border is adorned with bats and Western lotus patterns, symbolizing blessings.

The seat is adorned with relief carvings of floral patterns on the lower waistband, with cheek supports below. The dental strips in the center of the seat have intricately carved through-holes. The arching shoulders feature raised cloud patterns, and the corners of the legs are adorned with swirling cloud pattern corner teeth, with the legs and feet intricately carved with spiral motifs and inward-turned horseshoe shapes. Based on the original references, it is speculated that the legs and feet of this chair should also have gold outline painting, as it would present a more harmonious and consistent visual appearance. The armchair's decorative carvings are arranged in a sophisticated and orderly manner, with a balanced and timeless design that bridges the past and present in contemporary life, clarifying the thread of traditional cultural heritage.
